I have a windows vista pc and this game won't even install. It says that if you are using the windows 86x version or something than it won't install. This happens right when I double click it.

I tried running in a different compatibility mode and it won't install.

Can someone help?

Try right clicking on the setup file & choosing "Run as Administrator"

I tried that, I think that the game is just not going to work on vista 86x. Its so weird because icewind dale 1 works just fine.

sorry for double post.

I think that 2.0 downloader is messing everything up. Not even my windows 7 comp can play this game. I might have to contact gog support. Do I do that through my account page?

I just installed BG1 2.0.0.20 with all defaults on Windows 7 64bit.
It installed & plays without a hitch.
