I recently updated to Windows 10 and also installed GOG Galaxy. I imported my modded Trilogy versions of BG1+2 into Galaxy.

BG2 saves seem to load up fine but when trying to open a BG1 save via BG2 the game freezes on the loading screen.

Any ideas of what I can do to remedy this?

I am not sure but I believe you cant open normal BG1 saves in BG2 engine. I hope I understood the situation correctly.

One more thing. When you use Galaxy, it autoupdates BG2, which deletes all mods. So your BGT will turn to BG2. If you are trying to use your BGT saves, you should do in this order.

1. Install BG1 and BG2
2. Disable auto-updates for both games.
3. Continue modding as you normally would do.

When I meant by BG1 saves was saves from a BGT game that were in a BG1 area, i.e. Ice Island.
