Hi,

Video Card: 2GB NVidia 1030
Issue: If your character fires ammo (such as an arrow) at an enemy when the enemy is : 11:00 o'clock and your character is at 5:00 o'clock, then the arrow will face diagonally at 8:00 o'clock.

The issue dissapears if I uninstall the video card drivers. I think I remember from years ago that this was an issue with NVidia cards, and it was ok with Radeon AMD ones.

Just wondering if anyone else has come across it or solved it. Thanks.
I think this hopefully will solve your issue:

Thanks, I appreciate the reply but it didn't work. I attached the image. It's ok with the EE version, but I'm really not into them.

It would be nice if a fix exists, but until then I suppose I'm lucky to have my old PCs and discs.

This fix was not meant to fix EE, it's for the original version of the game, but it's a shame it didn't fix your problem. You probably already tried, but there's 3 options at the bottom to select in the video settings - have you tried different combinations of those options?
Yes, you probably need to enable Software Mirror BLT in video settings.

Thanks again for the replies, but it seems no combination of all three will solve this issue. I was going to play Pathfinder Kingmaker, but it seems the lag is still there with that game with the hotkeys and all the known fixes improve but don't entirely get rid of it.

But back to BG1 vanilla: I'll probably set my old Win98se or XP pc up with aRadeon card and will report back if it works just to let GOG know that it's likely due to something NVIDIA have done.

In retrospect I should have written all this stuff down over the years as I've forgotten all the details like this...
There's one more thing that you might give a shot - dgVoodoo2. Even though the original Baldur's Gate was not a 3D accelerated game, this wrapper can convert DirectX games to Direct3D.

Here's a very useful post on how to set up the original BG on modern hardware or operating system and includes using and setting up dgVoodoo2:
