Hi,

I was playing BG1 complete saga (not the enhanced) on win7, everything was fine. But since I upgraded to win10, the blackness from the fog of war is buggy.

If I put the game on 16 bit colors and software mirror BLT, the graphic bug is solved, but the game starts to lag.

I already tried a lot of thing from differents topic (nvidia ddraw fix, install directx redist).

So does anybody knows how either:

resolve the graphic bug on 32 bit coloc
or make the 16 bit color + software miror BLT run at a proper framerate.

Thanks

Open up your baldur.ini and add the following (or edit it) under [Program Options]

3D Acceleration=1
I just did it, it didn't change anything.

Any other idea?

Unfortunately, it appears this is a Windows 10 issue. The game is old, older than even Windows 7. It also doesn't help that the original classic doesn't have the config options of BG2 -- different engine. Usually the DDrawFix works well.

* Were you absolutely sure to download the DirectX 9 redistributables? BG1 requires DX9, not any other.
* Have you also tried different options on the installation of DDrawFix?
I just realized there are differents DDrawfix (I used the nvidia one first, there was no option on the installation).

So I installed this one: ie-ddrawfix.

And I used the option 2: Use WineD3D DirectDraw Library

Now everything works perfectly.

Thanks Hickory for your time and suggestions.
