Started over when the Friendly Arms bug led me to make a mistake that cancelled out Peldvale. But I forgot how fun the game play is in this game. After U9 and M&M9, I left RPG behind as kind of a dead game genre. But this was at its height.

But I can't seem to find out about a girdle I picked-up. Non Magical, but the description seems to indicate it has pouches. Is that just a throw away line, or does it have uses.

As I said. Minor. But I am curious.

It is just the description of what a girdle actually is: it is not a belt for holding up trousers and such, but a utility 'belt' for holding things, like a carpenter or electrician might wear. It has no use, since it has no magical properties -- it is not a container in-game.
Got it. Thanks.
Question over X and Y Axis.

I noted a while back that occasionally I have a strange loading problem. The game loads only to have one of the side screen panels constantly coming up. As if it was being pushed down. I can solve the problem by quickly saving the game. The save panel then shows a series of random letters. If I type the various letters, they stop replicating themselves and I can save the game. This game I need to delete and load a previous version, and the game continues without a problem. This does not happen every time but often enough to be annoying.

However tonight a version came up where the X and Y axis for the pointer were being displayed in the dialog box. Now that was new but the "Save and Delete" technique still works.

But is there a normal way for the X and Y Axis to appear in the Dialogue box? Is there a combination of keys that brings that about?

Thanks

It sounds as though your keyboard is inputting when it should not be -- if I'm reading you correctly. This is not as uncommon as you might think: it's usually either a driver issue or sometimes a stuck key. The former simply requires a reboot. The second requires your keyboard be cleaned. It doesn't sound like the second one by your description.

As for the cursor X/Y axis, this is displayed by pressing CTRL+X in-game.

I reloaded a couple times to see if it would resolve itself. But it still happens. The driver suggestion might be the answer.
So when the x/y axis showed up it was because the random key problem hit the CTRL X combo. That's cool.

Off to "Driver Ed".

The X/Y location is just the X key in BG2 but it's the L key in BG.

Ctrl+X gives more information than just the X key in BG2. In BG1 you can use L or CTRL+L, it doesn't matter.
