I originally played BG on some burned CD's my cousin gave me around 2002, so this is a long time coming. Granted I beat it on Enhanced Edition.
I went with the Canon story party of Jahiera, Khalid, Minsc, Dynaheir & Imoen. Not sure if EE or the NPC Project added it but I got a scene with Irenicus abducting us and Dynaheir attempting to sacrifice herself to buy us time to escape. Very cool considering I'd done the NPC Project romance with her.
I beat it with a Inquisitor Paladin, I'd basically gotten to the end of the game and got frustrated with the maze+traps+skeleton Warriors so I quit. There was still a lot of things I didn't do in BG like most of the ToTSC stuff. What I did try I found pretty tedious and I don't think any of it will matter much with a BG2 imported game. I was level 7 and will steamroll the early part of the game I'd think. I'm not a huge fan of inching around dungeons constantly checking for traps or puzzles where my reward is super insane boss fights.
