I'm starting another run, and frankly it's boring. So i created my char in ToB, saved it, and tried to load save in normal BG 2.

No can do.

I know that i can export my char, but it's the item's that i want. So my question is: can i somehow change BG 2:ToB save files so that normal BG2 see it as save files from BG 1 ?

You're wasting your time. Items do not carry over in character files; all items are stripped from the player at the start of game.

Like Hickory said, you are supposed to start BG2 naked. Obviously, you want to cheat so I think your best bet is to use a save editor to give those items to you.

IF you are using BG:EE, you can use EE Keeper

If you have the classic BG2, I believe you can still use ee keeper since the description says "This version will still work with the original BG2. " But you may also download Shadow Keeper here
Guys, you propably don't know, but in the original BG 2, when you loaded your char from save file, from BG 1, you could have your item's with you.

The only thing you needed to do is to pause the game immediately after talk with Imoen, then go ro inventory, unequip everything and drop it to the floor, and then unpause, wait for autosave, and then pick them up. Dont know if this work for this new bright and shiny EE, but i don't want to complete all BG 1 just for that.

And no, sorry, but i dislike all save editors. One thing is to use game bug, another is changing your save files to add yourself super duper itmes.

Nope, as far as I know, that trick no longer works in EE hence I recommended the editor.

Like I said, items don't transfer.
Oh, one bug that was actually usefull, and they had to patch it... Well, sorry to bother, i'm starting to download BG 1...

Be advised that, as Hickory and Engerek said, you won't start BG2 with any of the items you collect in BG1.

If you use the stat tomes on yourself, the higher stats will carry over. You can find up to 3 items in the BG2 starter dungeon, if you ended BG1 with them. Here's a list from another thread.
