when water appears or someone is using magic the game starts to stuttering with around 6-10 FPS..

anyone got some information about that problem ??

Perhaps installing the game in C:/games instead of program files/gog.com will work. For reasons I admit I don't fully understand this is a solution that is often proposed and one that seems to work. Its not just a Vista problem either, Windows 7 can have these issues.

hmm i tried to play it in windowed-mode now it runs like a charm .. kinda strange.. but thanks for the information ^^

I remember my old computer I got in '98 running BG2 better than my more current but still way outdated PC (built in '04). During my first dragon battle, everything slows down to a crawl, and I know that this didn't happen on my old computer! I also can't remember how the hell I defeated Firkraag back then. Oops.
