Doing an all neutral run through both games. As of now I'm thinking:

PC berserker
Jaheira (ditch hubby one way or another)
Branwen
Safana
Garrick
Xan replaced by Quayle

BG2
PC Berserker>Mage
Jaheira
Cernd (tweak claws to make kit work better)
Anomen (failed)
Haer'dalis

There aren't many neutral fighter types in BG1, so it seems a no brainier. But then in BG2 if I want a proper mage in my group my only option is Neera, so I thought "why not dual". And kensage isn't optimal for this scenario since my PCs main roll in BG1 is tank. Any thoughts?
