I kept rolling for a while in BG1:EE . Then I saw 94. Pressed "STORE". Then clicked roll a few times again to see what else i will get. Decided 94 is awesome enough. Pressed store again.

I decided to read a book instead.
Rolling a new character in BG can be indeed a waste a lot of time. Some self imposed rules may alleviate this.
Suggestions:
- only roll a set number of times
- set in mind some minimum numbers for two, maximum three, attributes and roll until you get those
- (fun) find your d&d stats using an on-line quiz and set your attributes using the first roll, and not using all the points (since your d&d stats should be around 70)
