Hi, im trying to run this game on Kubuntu.

But the game outputs an error message saying i must use a windows version newer than Windows 7 SP1.

Is there a way to disable this check?

Edit: I have found a solution, it was not exactly what i was asking for, but a solution nonetheless.

I run the game using lutris (that has not changed), and it is possible to run a config on winetricks to make it appear for the game that it is running on a windows OS (windows 10 in my case), you can probably use other windows versions on the list, but keep it on at least windows 7.

Usually winecfg is the bundled tool that comes with WINE to adjust the simulated Windows API version.
winetricks is a package of its own that can also be used to install some common tools and libraries into the WINE installation (like dotnet, additional VB runtimes and the likes). Maybe there also is an environment variable that can be set, but I'd have to look that up.

The Lutris version of the Ubuntu repositories may be not the newest.
With the newest version Win10 is the default option in WineCfg.
But you could change it manually by yourself. Maybe you did it.

I couldn't play it either some month before on EndeavourOS.
Now I'm playing it on Windows 10.
