It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

I had some issues installing, probably the same 92% problem many people seemed to have.

I was slow to read the forums, so I solved this by downloading the stand-alone installer and using that. It worked, in that it got the game installed but I still get the broken install warning when starting the game.

Then I tried to check for updates. This checks things, and downloads some updates, and then tries to install those.

However, one of those components is a new DirectX version. The installer for that gives an error "Invaldi Command Line Switch" and obviously does not isntall the DirectX. Apparently the version is not updated because of this error - at least my version number stays the same.

Verify/Repair seems not to work either.

Has anybody else seen the same problem? Perhaps it's the stand-alone installer and I should try installing directly via the GOG launcer.

Edit: They seem to have fixed the GOG launcher installation, now it went off without a hitch.

This sounds like you edited a shortcut to point to the DX exe but you messed up a cut/paste or something or ended up with un-paired quotation marks or something.

Or are you saying you are using the launcher and selected the DX option but received the error?
