Supposed to be a big update today I saw on PC Gamer. I hope we get it on Gog.

This was on steam

I don't know (haven't found it here) if there is any similar pre-patch announcement on GoG here.

I opted for GOG version because of the DRM free stuff, but check announcements on steam since it seems they have better coverage (?). Also I hope I don't have to re-download the whole game again like last time.
(That was confusing since a friend that plays with me has a steam version and he says he just downloaded few gigs not the whole game when the patch came out.)
Over at Larian Forums (https://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=738612#Post738612) they are listing steps for GoG users:

GOG:

-Select the game from the owned games section
-Click the settings button top right and select manage installation > configure
-To disable auto-updates, there is a checkbox “automatically update to new version” > uncheck this box to stay on the current patch
-Unchecking this box will let you roll back to a previous version

We at GoG had a much more easy life when it comes to choose what game version we would like to play. Not that "steam-forced-latest-beta-buggy-version" for all players. I have auto-update turned OFF by default in Galaxy Client.
I alwasy stays on the previous build for a few days, so publisher can iron out the most gamebreaking bugs on latest release.

I know Gog is behind sometimes in updates. I run Galaxy so the drm thing is mute since most games won't run without it. ( I don't mind) I am ready for the BG 3 patch but , since it breaks saved games I want to wait for the update and start a new game.

Thanks for the link and info. I may have to try that.
