Exclusive time-limited twitch drops...ugh

I don't know how twitch works, but I assume there's an algorithm that boosts streams or topics that get a lot of views. Motivating people to watch for 2+ hours seems to be a pretty good way to game the algorithm.

It's purely cosmetic, so I'm not that sad that I won't be getting it.

Of course it's beneficial to the streamers and Larian. But time gated exclusive content is of no benefit to customers buying the game, and I do not think the "It's purely cosmetic" is a great argument for various anti-consumer practices.

I figure the twitch drop will make a difference to future console users, but i'm dead certain there will be a mod loading it for people who didn't bother with twitch by the 6th.

Just like with the exclusive items for DoS2, these twitch drops will be accessible for everyone via a mod. Bg3 is a highly moddable game.
