Last summer I bought a new PC, especially for BG3.
I played for a while and created lots of characters but never made it through act 1.
Then in November when I had created a new character once again, suddenly nothing worked anymore the game constantly froze.
I uninstalled the game, uninstalled GOG Galaxy, re-uploaded & installed it, and re-uploaded & installed BG3. I could not even get to character creation.
So I uninstalled/reinstalled the graphic drivers & the chip drivers. But it didn't help.
At this time I was busy solving some family & other problems and didn't have the time to try and solve the problem, but now it's February and it angers me that I invested in a new PC but am unable to play the game.
I asked in forums for help, but nobody knew what to do, some of the people wrote that my graphic card was defective. But I can watch YouTube videos on the PC, how can the graphic card be defective?

Whatever I try, I get error messages:

Vulkan: unrecoverable Vulkan error
DirectX: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED Description Hardware device removed

Can someone help me to fix the problem?

It is not necessarily your graphics card being defective. But it could be without you knowing.

What you are experiencing is typical for AMD which has issue with performance spikes. That can either be due to overclocking settings (common) or power supply unit issues (uncommon).

Those are things you should look into. Ideally while providing the DxDiag report/Vulkaninfo as described in the error log when you ask for such stuff on forums.

I recommend two approaches for now

a) run your graphics card in debug mode

b) modify the registry to bypass typical AMD glitches

the error message you posted means your systems settings have changed from what the software was expecting to find... that very common and the work aound is to use the other rendor engine i.e, boot up the game with DX instead of Vulkan or if you nomally use DX then boot into Vulkan instead

you don't have to actually play the game just booting to the first screen is enough to reset the stored settings and then you can switch back to whatever one you like better

as for the game itself not running you could have a GPU issue yes but there are other things to check and you didn't give us all the data yet
1 the laptop has how many internal drives with how much spare space on the C drive... also is the game itself installed to C program files?

2 is there a exturnal drive i.e, USB hooked up to this laptop?

the fact the game used to run means its very unlikely to be a hardware issue with your Gpu unless you removed some important drivers by mistake

p.s, adjusting your registy as Lingxin said is a valid test as well
