So far I really like this game. The one thing, though, that makes it harder to play for me, is the text of the description of items, which hardly stands out and makes it very hard to read for me.

Is there anything that can be done about that, or are there mods or something which improve the readability? many thanks in advance!

Are you using the mouse or controller UI? If the former and the latter is a viable option, it's worth noting that all elements in the controller UI are significantly larger than the mouse UI. However, if it's more the contrast alone rather than text size that's an issue, that won't help you, anyway, although I think to some extent larger text can minimize the impact of poor contrast.

You could also submit a Bug Report (https://larian.com/support/faqs/how-to-submit-a-bug-report_85), since one of the 'bug' types is "Feedback". Given the game already has some accessibility options, I imagine if it's not too hard to accommodate your request, Larian would be amenable to doing so.

As an aside, I find the controller UI to be rather clean. The main thing it makes a bit more awkward than mouse is looting but it's not too bad.

Yes, it's barely readable. Do as I did (and twistedpony suggested): submit a bug from the launcher. Maybe if they see enough of those, they'll finally choose better colours.

I don't know of any mod. Besides, with the frequent updates, having a mod could be a problem right now.

The UI is a weak point in BG3 in general, and it has always been the case since the EA so I guess we'll have to stick with it.

I use a variation of this mod:https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/775
It's simple to install and if they update the game you can simply paste it back into your "data" folder as it has it's own folder.

It seems to only change the font.

Yep that's all it does but there are other mods that deal with the UI like this one for example: https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/621 that removes the mini map.
Lol I have no idea why it put all those spaces between the words because it's not spaced like that on my end.

Thank you all for the feedback and possible solutions. I just sent a ticket, so hopefully they will look into it and change something. Later on today I will try the mod and see if the change of font makes things easier for the time being.
