At level 3 on my second character, responses to my inputs started lagging by several seconds. It started in the druid grove after the harpy fight. It's not just in game but also the options in the main menu screens, but only in BG3. I've tried every thing I can think of except reinstalling the game (20 hr to re-download) -- drivers, security settings, deleting save files etc. There are a bunch of postings on lag, but not for sudden changes. Any ideas?

specs:
Win10, 32GB RAM, Ryzen 3700X, M.2 SSD, RTX 2070 8GB VRAM, driver 536.99, Razer mouse and keyboard.


Switched to Vulkan and problem went away.

I've also just developed this issue. Happens in the main menu as well. Played well for over 70 hours.

try restart your system that should clear up any Ram trapped
