I have wasted 100+Gb trying to redownload BG3.
It gets to 92% and just gets stuck for no reason.
I have 400Gb of space left, there is no error message
and it does not resolve no matter how long I wait.

I need this fixed very quickly.
18 Offline installer files are not an option.
This game is unplayable in its current state.

I will be seeking a refund if this can't be resolved.

Sounds like you should reach out to support. The forums probably aren't the best place to complain about this... but if you're looking for sympathy, I'm sorry this is happening to you.

The GOG servers were (still are?) hosed. Many people with many different games had the same complaint. I verified that the offline files are still downloadable, if that is of interest to you.

The CDN is still borked, probably will be finished being fixed tomorrow.

I just reinstalled and though it did hang reporting 92%, it did ultimately finish.

It's possible that GOG reports 92% while the game is installing... because it jumped from 92% to 100% and installed.

Not saying you'll experience the same thing, but it's 1 more data point.

92% is ruffy the point at which downloading stops and files get moved ready for install... its common to catch at that point and restarting Galaxy is also a workaround at that point, however yes Gog servers have been down and only just recovering now

Did you try waiting an inordinately long amount of time? And also, do you have plenty of disk space (like more than 2x the size of the download)

I just re-installed a couple of days ago and it hung at 92%, but when I came back the next morning the game had installed. I suspect that 92% is where it's copying and decompressing all the files and then installing them... which may require increased space, and definitely requires additional time... so that's at least 1 data point that says it should be working.

I have the same problem. It's the only game in my library that gets stuck. I'll leave it overnight as well and see what happens

To date I have yet to successfully install *any* game with Galaxy 2.x The ads work fine though.

It's 4 hours so far and I have a newer spec computer and am installing it on my NVME SSD. I *hope* it is installing and that Galaxy just doesn't tell you. Will give it another 4 hours.

Why the download is so fucked up?
I'm @90,7% for like 2 days atm 64,84 / 68,70 GB WTF?
Is steam also that bad?

Mine has been hung at the same spot .. for hours. This is so stupid. Should have bought it on Steam.

So I think mine actually did install (79.2gigs according to file explorer), and Galaxy just hung thinking it was still downloading .. permanently.
I closed Galaxy, renamed the "Baldurs Gate 3" folder. Restarted Galaxy, it started downloading the whole thing again since BG3 was still in the downloading list. Aborted the download. Renamed back to "Baldurs Gate 3". Went to "Manage Installation" in Galaxy, "Import Folder" and selected "Baldurs Gate 3". After that, it seems to think the game is fully installed, even letting me "Check for Updates" .. which it found none. Also seems to play fine. Im trying to run Verify on it now, but that is hung at 0% on "Scanning Installed FIles".

EDIT 2:
That just wants to patch 22 gigs (after taking several minutes to scan) .. which it hung trying to download. Screw this, Ill just download the offline once its release day.

Same here, patch got hung up on multiple tries, then I deleted everything and tried redownloading from start.
I let it running over night - it's still at 91% and won't move. Restarting gog galaxy didn't work either.

I'm super frustrated. :(

Edit: So... I could start the game nonetheless (with a warning), but ... I don't know if that's a bug in the EA version or caused by a faulty installation. Sigh.

Edit 2: Great, img attachment won't work.

For me still not working in the morning. I downloaded the offline version and that one works, at least I could test the char customization to have a look at the game.

I have stop the download and re tried again for the 4th time and now works, not sure if having the offline vertion helped, but now i can use it.
