If you put a 'disposable' woven magical Item in Gales inventory, for managing reasons, then Gale is requesting a magical item via a conversation, Gales inventory is not shown in the item selection Menu.
I had to ask Gale to wait a bit longer (succeeded the roll) then open his inventory to consume the item that I already preselected.
