Sorry if this is frequently asked. I've moved over from Steam and everything is fine here. But the GOG Galaxy download speed is very slow - 1.5MB/s. I've been downloading BG3 for on/off about two days now. Happy to wait but is this usual?

I was getting 25MB/s so it may be your area.

Yeah, Steam must have servers that are better located for your ISP.

All i can say is that i installed BG3 via GOG Galaxy and it took no more than 1 hour having Gigabit Internet here.

So neither GOG or Galaxy can be the reason for that - maybe you have a bottleneck somewhere in the routing to the GOG Servers or Windows limits the download rate for whatever reason.


PS: Galaxy has a bandwith limiter in the options - check if it is accidentaly enabled...
