I've just finished my second run of BG3. I've got 4 achievements outstanding.

I can work out that 3 of them are but I can't work out what the missing one is. In Steam you can compare your stats with global stats and see which achievements you are missing. Is there any way to do this with GOG?

3 of the 4 outstanding achievements I have are "secret" and I just can't work out what 1 of them is.

You can look them up on Steam just like you explained. The achievements are the same for both platforms.

1st open the wiki list https://baldursgate.fandom.com/wiki/Achievements

2nd open Galaxy to the game page and click one of your achievements

this opens the Galaxy list to show you all achievements you have earned for that game so far... then go down the wiki list to find which 4 are missing
