I'm currently at Last Light Inn and the last quest I completed was rescuing the tieflings. My quest log reports that Halsin ran off but he's in my camp hanging with the emo kid.

Has anyone else experienced the bug? I'm hoping it's just an issue with the quest log itself (because the log also says that he joined my party) and doesn't reflect the actual composition of the battle to which the "gather your allies" quest refers (I assume it's an assault on the tower but if I'm mistaken please don't spoil it).

I'm ~117 hours in (probably way too much for where I'm at but I love exploring and reading all the lore). I already accidentally let some NPCs die, experienced some bugs, and missed some plot stuff so if Halsin dips too I am going to be super bummed.

If anybody can just confirm or deny that the quest log is bugged (you don't have to tell me what happens) I think it will put my mind at ease.

I vaguely remember seeing a note that Halsin ran off somewhere to do something... but I don't remember him ever not being in my camp after Act I.

My guess is that it's a bug, but the bug is that the quest log is misleading. You're probably fine.
