What time Poland Time? :D
And GOG just updated the Galaxy app, so we'll see if the promised download improvements work!

Downloading now, glad to say. Well, it's been a long wait, but I'm sure it will have been a worthwhile wait and....er, wait a minute here...did I just hear you say it will be another year or so before the final version hits my O:\ drive...?

Oh, joy!---wellawellawella...at least I am getting Patch 5 (out of ten, or 20, is it?)...progress is slow, but sure...(weak, painful grimace).....!

Oh, yes, before I forget...I dearly love the brilliance of Larian in cobbling together room for a temporary drive during the BG3 install process! Magnificent! I can see that my Autonomic Brain Enhancer functioning (three hundred and four patents pending) is indeed functioning within the greater Larian code base on this auspicious date! You lucky dogs, you! How thrilling a moment in your young lives--I almost envy you all! Yes! Ah, to be young and truly stupid once again...sigh...

Oh, yes, where would I be without the magnificent brain functioning of my own brain??? How quickly we tend to forget the finer things in life, do we not?

(...The reader at this point is advised not to applaud quite yet, but to throw money, instead...yes, quite...;))

I thought they fixed having to download 60GB again? Or was that only for Steam and GOG has the problem.

yeah, that shit is annoying
they fixed having to download 60G for a 1G change... this patch is just a hair over 64G because its basically a rebuild

I wanted to name a band Throw Money......
Guys, I don't get it, how patching, early access and development goes?
Patches are mostly technical, early content is limited (lengthy demo), I can't see any new locations, story progression etc.

Will there be new locations/acts before final version? Or are we stuck in current content, but polished?

Larian's EA is not the kind of EA you might be familiar with from Steam (or their "In Development" cousin on GOG). You won't gradually get more content till you have a finished product by release. Instead they give you a glimpse of the game in it's current state but only the portion specified at the release of EA. That includes only content within Act 1 but might not be the entirety of Act 1.

As Swen also mentioned in Panel from Hell 3, patch 5 was a feature patch whereas patch 6 will be more content oriented. You MAY not see (m)any new races in EA but there will be more classes coming before release (probably because some of these classes have very unique traits, e.g. sorcerer, and others can be changed based on data from other classes, e.g. paladin based on cleric and fighter data).

If you are familiar with how they handled EA of DOS2; just like that.
