Hi all.
I'm a bit surprised about the new patch. It seems as if the patch requires to download most of the game again? Galaxy want's to download 124GB of data and with my snail connection of 12MBit this requires (again) 2 days of download. Is this just with me or does everybody needs to have this data volume?

I got the same size download, but I have a better connection so it only took about an hour.

This seems to be the norm when patching with GoG Galaxy & when you update to a new full number patch.
OK, thank you. Deleted BG3 for now until I've finished a few other games. Come back to this game when patching is done :) Thank you a lot.

This happens every patch. It's why I stopped playing until they release the last patch and confirm no more updates.

The patch between 6.9 and 7.0 is almost the same size as the full game install, so there was no point in downloading that patch.

There was also a problem with installing patches because they demanded outrageous amounts of free space; last one I've seen was 2TB. Dunno if thats fixed.

I run 6.9 because it was the current version for a very long time.

I hear that if you install 7.0 you have to start new games, and I'm currently running a game, so I wont change right now.

Though its my general rule to never change the version while I'm running a game because thats always quite likely to cause problems. So I wouldnt have changed the version anyway.

I have the same slowness problem at home and the initial installation took 2 days too! Despite the new features I hesitate to get started because I am also afraid that my backups will no longer work! Were you able to reuse your backups?
As I just said - I havent tried but I hear from others in the official forum that 6.9 saves no longer work with 7.0.

The case is heard, I will load patch 7 when I start a new game. Thanks Geronimo!
