Updated to patch 9 and tried to start the game, pop-up stated needed .NET to run the game and would I like to download. I downloaded and installed .NET. The game still will not start and says I need the >NERT update.

The copy of net the link in Larian launcher points to is the wrong one... That's why installing it doesn't work

After it was pointed out Steam Larian and Gog have all replaced that build of the launcher to not stop so your current options for a fix are

1 download the net installer from Microsoft, not the zip but the actual installer or

2 run verify on Bg3, this should download and replace the Larian launcher

Verified BG3 unforunately it still says the same thing.

post an image of the error message it gives you please

also Windows 10 or 11?

and confirm both the game and Galaxy itself are NOT in C program files

Sorry for the long wait for reply. I logged out of GOG last week and suddenly it wanted a verification code but would never send one. So the last the week was spent dealing with that. Now I log in and the Baldur's Gate issue seems randomly fixed?

I am on Win 10 and Galaxy and game are not on C anymore... Never got an image of the error message but I guess its ok since it seems to have fixed itself.

they came out with a patch that installs a new Larian launcher including the correct net files... it also bracks the link between Gog and Larian accounts but needing a new verify to use Galaxy is a new one
