I'm on GOG and my friend is on Steam. We are trying to make a multiplayer campaign and it doesn't work.

We both have the same game version: 4.1.1.3669438

Our lobby list are not the same, we tried Direct Connect and it gives NATPunch 66 error

We tried various option with Direct Connect enabled/disabled in the setting, and me or them hosting, to no avail

We play other games multiplayer together like Total War Warhammer 2 and it work just fine so we are confident it's not a problem with internet.

I tried searching for solution online to no avail. Any suggestions on how can we play multiplayer?

only way is hamachi otherwise direct connect is broken
having the same issue. 2 friends on Gog and 2 friends on steam cant see each other lobby, and getting that natpunch 66 error when trying direct connect. before the current patch it did work ( direct connect). multiplayer seems really undercooked in general, quite a frustrating experience.
So no one has solved this problem so far?
It's no wonder that Steam is the dominant platform since there are no such problems, games just work

this is an old post so yes it was solved but then Larian turned the backend server off at their end... which is the current state of things at least until the next patch comes out + all its hotfixes
