i use the mundane chest for storage because anything you put in the chest changes to a goblet or spoon so it helps with carry weight

however today i went to take some stuff out to sell and nothing is changing back to its original form. this is the first time this has happened and ideas how to fix or is this a new bug? ihavent had any issues after lastest hotfix a few days ago

sounds like and issue at your end

the mundane chest is working correct for me however if you carry a certain flower on you or put it in the chest then yes that stops it working

ive noticed once i enter act 3 proper on the out skirts of rivington the chest breaks and becomes a normal chest

If by "at your end" you mean "problems exist between keyboard and chair", I agree.

The mundane chest is an enchanted chest that disguises anything inside it as some mundane item (with the corresponding mundane weight). However, as soon as the item is removed from the chest, the enchantment is gone and it displays as its original form.

There's a flower that ussnorway hints at that suppresses magic. I was pleased to see that Larian thought things through, and if you put that flower in the chest it suppresses the enchantment. It's an impressive attention to detail that I think many games would've missed, and speaks to Larian's dedication to a well-planned, thoughtful, and well-tested world.

Besides - who would want to permanently convert a bunch of legit gear to a bunch of junk?

Actually I've heard other people mention that the chest can break between acts. Might just be a bug that only some people get under certain circumstances, completely separate from the flower mechanic people are mentioning.

agreed it seems mine just broke unfortunately. and no never kept the ssusar flower in the chest which would be the only flower i could think of that could suppress magic

i have not seen it just break between acts but there are ways to bust it, placing corrupt items being number 1 [see image]

corrupt items offen have more than 1 icon
corrupt items offen crash your game if you sort by type
corrupt items offen crash your game if you try to sell them... even when it works your game can still crash when you go back to that vendor
corrupt items will NOT have the split items option when you right click them
corrupt items offen double when you move them, so if you drop the 3 touches on the ground them pick up again you will now have 6

they are caused by lazy scripting i.e, Larian has more than 1 code / tag for the same item and you best option is just drop them on the ground and walk away

p.s, dont put mundane items in the mundane chest and NEVER sort items while they are in that chest
