I have Windows 11 and played the early access extensively. No issues. I downloaded the full game today. When I hit play in the Galaxy app, the play button dulls for a second then turns back to normal, nothing happens at all. If I right click on the actual app in the bin folder and hit run, something opens for less than a second, probably the launcher, then closes again instantly. I tried every suggestion on both the GOG support page and the Larian support page. I can't even submit a bug report because they require a crash log. There's no crash log, because the game never crashes, it just never opens. It's as if you double-clicked on a blank space on the desktop, literally nothing happens. Deleted and re-installed both Galaxy and BG3 3 times. Tried restarting every time.

I flirted with possibly manually installing but the game file downloads are very very slow.

Is this a GOG problem or a Larian problem? Someone needs to step up.

Sounds like a permission problem

Shut down Galaxy fully then right click the galaxy exe and run as admin

Does bg3 now boot at least the Larian launcher?

When you say "the actual app", which exe are you talking about? If it is LariLauncher.exe then give bg3.exe or bg3_dx11.exe a try.

gog forgot to add the required by game vc redist libs to the release.
DLL files are a W11 blocking access thing not a gog forgot to include

No change, and does not launch the Larian launcher.

I've tried all 3 of those previously. The Launcher does nothing. The other 2 look like they're about to do something, then nothing happens.

This is the one thing I hadn't tried yet. So I installed the Visual Studio stuff and still no change. Same problem.
