I'm trying to install the BG3 Toolkit by following the guide provided by Larian. As per that guide, I've tried to enable "BG3 Toolkit Data" under the DLC tab in GOG Galaxy. This gives me an installation error in GOG Galaxy.

I've also tried using the offline installer for the BG3 Toolkit Data, but it gives me the following error:

This version of the base game is not supported.
Please update your game with the latest patch.

But my game is already updated. At the time of this post, the latest version of BG3 is v4.1.1.5970269. This is the version I have installed.

Is anyone else having this problem or found a solution?

It sounds like the toolkit hasn't caught up with the latest hotfix. You can also try rolling back and see if that helps. If it doesn't, I suggest you contact support.

1st tell us which copy of Bg3 you installed?

Gog Galaxy = the modtool kid is included in the base game and can't be installed on its own as well i.e, you have it installed already = the stand alone install will fail

2nd yesterday Gog decided to fuck about with new forum images [which they got wrong but thats another thread] the point is their server went tits up all day and gave everyone corupt files

Can you elaborate on this? I have not found any information to that effect.

The official documentation (scroll down to the "Getting the Toolkit on GOG" section) seems to suggest otherwise. It states that you must download the BG3 Toolkit, which is a separate item on the GOG store, and must also enable the BG3 Toolkit Data DLC on your BG3 install. (Enabling the Data DLC is the part I've been trying to do.)

I cannot find any documentation that suggests the toolkit included in the install of the base game. If I've missed something, I'd love to know more.

For what it's worth though, I've installed BG3 through GOG Galaxy.

I think you are correct that the toolkit version hadn't caught up.

The link to download the offline installer claims that it's v4.1.1.5970269, but I looked more closely at the file that was actually downloaded and the filename says v4.1.1.5932596.

So it appears that GOG hasn't updated the toolkit data yet, but has mislabeled their download link to make it appear as if they have. Hopefully they will fix it soon.
