After 70 hours of game time, I was tired to open up the Larian Launcher to start the game. So i added the bg3.exe to alternative start file in GoG BG3 settings.
And now the Cloud sync icon is red, telling me it failed. And retry doesn't get rid of it.
I have Cloud Sync turned off for all games in Galaxy Client. And I'm regularly trimming down the number of save instances in Profile folder, always keeping quick and autosaves, but purging manually saves.

Reverting back to Larian launcher doesn't correct this fault. Any suggestions? The darn red icon is annoying...
1 cloud sync has nothing to do with Gog or Galaxy

2 Larian launcher is not the same thing as Larian cross-play account, the launcher is what Galaxy tracks for game time and the account is how saves and feedback are tracked

why did you do this... is your copy of the game from Steam or Stadia?

4 cloud sync needs network time to work i.e, after making a game save the engine needs [upto a min] to send the game save online and you can't shut the game down during this time or the sync will fail

p.s, due to the way the system is setup when a save game fails to sync it is corrupt as far as the game engine thinks and will not load... the only work around is to load an earlier save

1) The Cloud sync error I see, are in GoG Galaxy, on the game page, right next to the "Play" button. And every GoG game I own, and BG3 is the only game failing. But as I stated; I've turn off Cloud Sync globally in Galaxy settings.
2) Haven't signed up for Larian Account, so that's not a issue.
3) Well, as I stated; "I was tired to open up the Larian Launcher to start the game." My GoG Galaxy (where I own the game) launches Larian Launcher when clicked on Play. So to by-pass this, I added the bg3.exe to open the game directly. (as I stated) So what's strange about that?
4)I've turned off in Larian Settings the "Enable gameplay stats tracking" and I have blocked the game from reaching the internet (both on my pc and my firewall) and it has worked without any issues.

And I have no problem loading any of my saves. This is a GoG Galaxy issue occurring when I stray away from the default settings, it seems. The question was, has anybody else experienced this?
Bg3 is not a finished product but a testing altha and it is not designed to be with out the launcher

EA is a fact.
I was wondering how GoG Galaxy failes with its Cloud Save, when it shouldn't be active at all in the client.
And the respond in this thread telles me its not very commen.
Sorry to necro, but I have the exact same issue with the full version of the game. As has been mentioned, it's not an actual issue due to there not being GOG cloud sync for BG3 anyway, but the bright yellow icon is annoying.
