I did the update and then copied filed over to my lappy with verity and both run just fine... i could see a fresh install having issues but you don't give us any info to go on so we really can't help you much

Fresh install and everything is working fine... does not solve your problem unfortunately... you could check appdata and make sure you have no old mods conflicting.

I have. Before the latest hotfix (#24) it did not start with Vulkan, but was ok with DirectX. After the hotfix it does not start with both Vulkan and DirectX.

OS: Windows 11

Upd: It started to work after full reinstallation. Repair did not work.

Upd 2: After PC restart I got the same issue. As a result I can't play the game.

Tried https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019775837?product=gog because I use 12th gen processor, but it does not help

Sometime it works immediately after restart. Sometimes it does not.

how much Ram and is the launcher running as admin [see image] assuming Galaxy not off line installer

For me (Windows 10, 16 GB RAM), the Larian launcher doesn't work - stopped working in Divinity Original Sin I & II as well. Made shortcuts to the game EXEs in Galaxy and using those as a workaround.

32Gb, it does not run as admin, it is always online. I think the run as admin does not matter because the issue is fragile: in the most cases it happens, but sometime it does not.

32G is fine (16 or over) but yes it matters a lot that the Larian launcher runs as admin... Without that the in game vids don't have permission to take over the main screen when they fire

The game itself doesn't really need admin because the launcher is designed to sit over it in the task list

Have you got a Larian account and was it signed in while playing Larian games?
