Wondering if this has lan co-op without needing internet or galaxy?
it does have Lan but you will need internet and a Larian account at least to set you your account profile first

note thats Gog or Steam

Where should I use my Larian account? I don't see where in the game I can log in into account.
(I'm using GOG offline installer without Galaxy).
you don't the Larian account works through the Larian launcher and links to Galaxy or Steam

you make a Larian account and you link it to your Gog account with Galaxy and then decide if playing single player is better than playing with others
The only local Coop option seems to be "Splitscreen-Coop" on one PC (should work better on an Ultrawide) using 2 Controllers.

So you only need 1 copy to play multiplayer with person in same household on 2 different pc's?
I know you can do it on steam but I want the gog version. Found this about the steam version -

You can play lan by using steam family share and switching the account that owns the game to offline

This is how me and my wife play our playthroughs
Splitscreen Coop is 2 players sharing the same PC each one using a Controller and half the screen.

You need 1 copy of the game that way and enough screenspace and roomspace to make it a convenient experience.

That other coop is probably working but i guess it is not legal unless you have a copy for each person.

Splitscreen is a bigger load on the system so you will need to turn settings down by the time you get to act 2

Don't want split screen. I hate anything split screen. To confusing to watch and when both of us have our own computer it makes no sense to do that.

LAN still works the same way it did in early access. Install the game on both computers, create a LAN session and have your wife join your game. It's proper LAN, you don't need an internet connection, Galaxy or the LariLauncher. Just start the game from either bg3.exe (vulkan) or bg3_dx11.exe

I don't have a second computer where it would be installed on but you can see me doing just fine running two instances on the same machine. One is with Galaxy running in the background, one without.

Split screen with one copy is no different from LAN with one copy.

It is very different!

Splitscreen Coop is meant to be played on 1 computer/instance with 1 gamecopy.

LAN/Internet Coop is meant to be played on two or more PCs or game instances and albeit i have not read the EULA i am pretty sure that you need a gamecopy per PC/Instance!

You can play the game on several PCs or instances only if it is 1 PC/instance at a time.

That is is technically possible to do otherwise does not make it legal!

Of course it is legal.
Larian chose to put the LAN option in the game. They could have just not done that.
Go read the EULA if you're worried about that.

It's like buying a car and if you want your wife to drive having to buy the same car twice.
Plus I don't think the game police will come knocking on my door.

Works like a charm for coop with family members on different PCs on LAN with one gamecopy. (Using GOG-copy.)
This is the first crpg that has managed to pull my son away from the FIFA/APEX/FORTNITE-grind. All thanx to LAN multiplayer. BG3 is going to recruit thousands of new young gamers to the genre. Just imagine being introduced to CRPGs thru this game.

Then again its all just an anomaly.
