Read about this and then it happened to me. Looked on the internet again and supposedly, turning off hardware for mouse in graphics would solve it. Only thing is, I have no idea what that means. Do they mean, hardware acceleration for the mouse in windows, on my graphics card, or in the game options setting; or something else entirely? Please humor me and explain it to me like I'm a 60 year old grandfather. I would appreciate it very much. TIA.
some random page on the internet told you?

so fire the game up and goto game options ... it is on the first page where you load or start new games
is lock mouse to screen ticked and if it is then you also want edge scrolling ticked as well

assuming they are both ticked and you only have the one monitor then your computer has display problems and it starts to get harder to figgure out the cause without lots of tests \ details so good luck mate

Thanks for your reply. It didn't really solve the problem, but luckily, it did point me in the right direction. Going to the game's video option screen, I found the windowed view and chose that, and that seems to make the mouse cursor reappear. So I'm back in business. Thanks again for your assistance. ;)
