After both completly reinstalling the game using the latest files and installing a janky mod that let's me circumvent the fast travel defeat bug I got because of Gale related nonsense I had to discover that the game breaks when you try doing a skill check during a dialogue.

Said mod isn't UI related, it prevents Gale from exploding by constnatly resetting his timer, and disabling it doesn't do anything to fix the problem.

I also somehow now get an UI glitch during the level-up screen with the various tabs of the menu interlapping.

Is this even fixable or should I just uninstall this trash pile of a game? Larian are horrible scammers for releasing this unfinished mess.

My theory, based on your prior posts, is that you've made a mess of your install. And that you should do a clean install and start a new game. Anyhow, good luck to you.

i'd wait until Larian stops fucking about with untested changes and gets around to putting out a stable build

Part of the problem was that I killed Gale by throwing him into a pit and despite resurrecting him using Withers he keeps blowing up wich forced me to install a mod that allows me to circumvent that.

But the dialogue bug is all Larian. Never update your game. If it runs fine, it runs fine.

[the Gale mess] yes its a known issue which Larian supposedly fixed with code changes in hotfix 13, 15 & 17 but discord is full of people still having him break their game so whatever Larian did still needs work

in other news the Larian forums are not responding to cloud calls so it looks like they finally died... lets hope something better raises out of the ash soon
