Hello!

Edit: I forgot to add that the LS has analogue movement. Meaning you'll go faster or slower depending on how far you push the stick.

Edit 3: I'm pretty sure the game doesn't allow for motion controls. I don't think it supports lightbar or haptics on PlayStation controllers, but I'm not sure how to test it. I would much appreciate if someone can chime in on this.

Just sending an FYI. This information is not available on PCgamingwiki at the time of posting. Imgur flagged my posts as NSFW. They must have been smoking some black lotus, because there is NO explicit content in the images.

- The game supports X-pinut, AKA, and X-box controller.

- The game also supports PS4 input. I don't know about PS5 but I don't see why that wouldn't work. You get Playstation button inputs and and the options shows a Playstation controller with appropriate mapping. Edit 2: the diagram for the PlayStation controller shows the PS5 version.

- Now for the ultimate test...will it support a Nintendo controller?...Survey says...

...YES!!! Larian is a class of their own! The game recognizes the Pro Controller as its own device, instead of just having the X-box inputs! Here are screenshots for proof:

Yeah, that's good. My main gripe with this and most CRPGs is that they force you to use controller OR kb/mouse. They don't let you use both which is so stupid.

There is no reason you should not be able to use a gamepad to walk and move the camera and still use the mouse to click on enemies, inventory, or use a keyboard shortcut to access inventory etc.

Final Fantasy 14 has been doing this for like over a decade.

I hope the hybrid method gets implemented. I heard of a device that combines the two, but it's pretty expensive.

It won't. They've done this in all their games.
I agree not being able to seamlessly use both is a bit annoying. I discovered late that clicking the left controller stick allows for free selection using the controller. Not the same as a mouse by any means but it does make looting significantly easier sometimes. There are way too many crates, barrels, shelves, desks etc.

However, I do very much appreciate that they at least support controller at all on PC, complete with a pretty clean, controller specific UI, unlike Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2, which are otherwise great games.

PoE 1&2 might get controller support eventually. They were released on consoles, so controller support exists, it just hasn't been implemented with PC versions yet.

Those games are not getting updates anymore. And the company was bought by Microsoft anyway.

Obsidian's days of releasing on GOG are done.

Wow would be great if we could change the displayed Buttons, i just can't get used to the Xbox/Dreamcast Layout.
Will test out my 8Bitdo Controller in Switch Mode.
I have a Stadia Controller (Xbox buttons) and it's supported by the game.

To use both (Controller and Mouse) at the same time in a hybrid mode, it would be great.
Now it's every time changing the onscreen icons and it looks like tabbing out/in a fullscreen window.

Maybe some day this technique will be done by a game developer.
