I used to experience crashes because Galaxy was still running and it caused a problem with BG3 launcher.
At the time, people experiencing this problem advised to enter a command to make Galaxy close when a game was starting - which I did. Problem solved.

Now my problem is that I recently had to uninstall / reinstall Galaxy. And it erased all my settings...
I did a research, could'nt find the command. And now I'm expecting the game to crash again.

Can anyone remind me how to force galaxy to automatically close when a game starts please ?

Thank you in advance guys !
i'd try loading the game without Galaxy first
1 starting from a computer that Doesn't have Galaxy currently running [assuming Windows not Mac] goto the games bin folder and find the two exe files

bg3.exe = vulkan
bg3_dx11.exe = dx11

if you can run the game this way then at least you know what the problem is before stuffing around with code hacks

Doing this, it starts Galaxy automatically, granted that GOG is installed, which it is.
That's why i'd like to know the command. It wasn't anything fancy or complex, it was very simple... i just cant remember it, or find it anymore.
in that case then there are three possible options:

1 you somehow misunderstood the instruction
2 the game has some 3rd party code [like a nexus mod]
3 your game is a hacked / priate copy because the Gog made BG3exe & Bg3_dx11 doesn't open Galaxy...

___
is this computer Windows 8.1/ 10 / 11 / 12 or something else? codes are case by case and what works on 8 offen doesn't on 11

did you use the off line installer perhaps?

1. Possible. I'll try again. But when I launch the .exe it just opens galaxy.
2. Dont know what to say, except that I dont use mods, if it is what you imply
3. Definetely not a hacked version, nor pirate copy. I bought it on GOG. Why would I bother with GOG in first place if it was a pirate version ? It opens the Larian launcher above the GOG launcher, and it seems to be an issue.
As I previously said, it was adressed by the devs themselves but I can't find again the post or note about it and about the procedure they advised to execute.

On a side note : i'm french. So if some of my expressions seems weird or if the way i write is curious, that's probably why :)
Thanks for trying to help me
I just tried launching Baldur's Gate 3 after closing Galaxy and using the exe files "bg3.exe" and "bg3_dx11.exe": Galaxy doesn't open, not even the Larian Launcher.

Are you using the exe files in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Baldurs Gate 3\bin" folder?
