I cannot launch the game from the Larian launcher after Patch 5.

To be accurate, I have made it to the opening splash screen a few times and changed options, but I have never been able to go beyond that.

The majority of the time, when I click 'Play" on the launcher, my PC crashes.

AMD 3900x, 32 GB RAM, EVGA 3090. More than enough SSD space.

nVidia drivers and OS are up to date.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Q1 the hotfix came out today so have you download it (1G) and restarted Windows?

Q2 [see images] are we talking about the game splash screen? i.e, it gets to there sometimes but crashes when you press continue? if so then try unticking your Gpu test option in the Larian launcher... this can cause crash because Windows thinks they are trying to hack your Nvidia software

Q3 try swapping engines as a general work around for launher issues i.e, boot up with valkan instead of DX11 or vis-vers to temp unblock... if this clears the block then just swap it back next time
