After deleting previous install, I downloaded a fresh install of bg3 offline installer. The files downloaded successfully (file setup_baldurs_gate_3_release_-_v4.1.1.4216792_(64bit)_(69689).exe and its associated bin files 1 through 27). However when I try to install from downloads folder by running the exe file, it asks for part 30 which doesn't exist.

Tell GOG right away.

I think you were downloading BG3 while the latest version was still being uploaded to GOG. If you check now, there are 31 files to download in total (30 bin files) for v4.1.1.4216792 (Hotfix #15).

The installation-package became bigger (3 more files). Sometimes GOG doesn't adjust the download-script for Galaxy in this case. You must download the missing files manually from the game-page in your collection.

gforce4711 answer is 100% spot on.

This actually happened to me. But I didn't notice it until it was too late. GoG Galaxy said it was "100%" done but I was actually missing 3 files.

You need to log into the GoG.com website and manually download the last 3 bin files - 28, 29 and 30
before there is another hotfix/patch wiping that version from the server.
