I tried to go back to BG1 recently after playing 3, and I have to say it has not aged well in comparison. The shitty pathfinding AI, the jank way they game attempts to simulate turn based combat in real time, and the fiddly nonsense of the underlying 2nd edition AD&D system just kept me from getting into the swing of things. If the original games get the Skywind treatment and get remade in the modern engine, I might have troubling pulling myself away from the computer for a while. Anyone else here feel the same, or am I weird?
I vaguely remember someone, somewhere saying that the Divinity engine editor worked on BG3. If that's true, it's conceivable that some *incredibly* dedicated folks could undertake a mod.

I doubt it'd be able to get to 100% (missing monster types, etc), but it'd be pretty awesome to see someone try.

Older games are older games. Time marches on.
