Because if you go to the map location that Lae'zel takes you to, there is a battle against high-end enemies with very high initiative, so you can't help but lose your party. If you ignore that location, do you break the game, or does Lae'zel keep pestering you? Or are you supposed to wait until you are much, MUCH stronger, before you go there, with top-notch armour, so that your party members can survive SIX arrow hits before it's even their turn?!
