After Patch 7 I got the error message about incompatible Mods, so I tried to uninstall them. The Manager but it just hangs at loading profiles. I downloaded the latest version (which I already had), made sure I had latest .net files and no help.

If I am reading your issue correctly, this is normal.

When you are using MODS, never update your game because the chance of the mods not working is about 99.99%. You would have to wait for the mod makers to update their mods to work with Patch 7.

From what I understand, your save game file will include changes from your mods. Even if you uninstall your mods, the save game file is still looking for your mods. With the patch 7 update to include modding to the game, who knows what changes were made.

If you can, I would revert to the older version of the game and re-install the mods you had.

How do you revert? What are the steps?

There are only 2 ways to revert.
1. If you downloaded the offline installers and kept them on your hdd. Just re-install the game.

The example used is cyberpunk 2077 but its the same for all games.
