Do you have to install QuickTime for the game to run properly? I have noticed it is optional in the installer. Unselected it in installer options because I don't see how it would be needed. But in game after selecting 'New' it responds with a QT Windows error and proceeds to play the music - although nothing displays on the screen.
Researched it and some said it is necessary to play the game; others said it is not, but a full-screen running issue. They claim the .exe had to be modified to prevent that error and display properly.
Trial and Error would be the best solution, but not the best resolution. What did the GOG community do to get this game running as it should? And what options or modifications did you make to play the game as advertised, and which ones you did not? (Mainly the .exe options and or installing the pre-installer QuickTime).
