I'm new to the game and a love it. As I approach the target it appears all lined up then the bombers "goes around" does not drop the bombs. How do I fix that?

Without knowing exactly how you have setup and targeted on your bomb run it is hard to know what is going wrong. What is clear is that the bombs are not being dropped and you have flown past the target.

Watch some of my bombing videos and then post back with more information if you're still having issues.

I know of three things that can cause this:

1) Bomb Bay doors have not opened due to damage,

2) Bombardier has been injured, and the bombardier position remaining unoccupied at the point of bomb release,

3) Weather (clouds) obscuring target immediately prior to bomb release.

Always verify that the bomb bay doors have fully opened at the start of the bomb run. If they are stuck closed, assign a crewman (usually the upper turret gunner/engineer) to manually open them. If the bombardier is injured, try and assign another crewman to that position. As for last minute weather obscuration, there's nothing you can do about that.
Also if the bombsight is in "Search" mode (yellow light is on at the right side of the bombsight, above the indices) vice "track" mode (I.e. locked on the target) the bombs will not drop when the calculated release point is reached, and you get to go around and do it all over again.
