Well its finally been done. Daxen and Company have defeated the beast Grah Hoth. While the fight went on, Garzahd watched them find a switch that lead to an excellent falling point and shelter to blast the demon lord. While Daxen and Valkor switched turns with slashing enemies and grah hoth, Rylock dealt wicked death to the beast from afar.
Gulping down an invulnerability potion each, both the fighters stood strong and dealt wicked blows to the beast. Finally, the weakened beast startled Daxen, who in turn dealt a mighty blow to Grah Hoth. From there on, Rylock cast spell after spell onto the fiend until he died.
Now that the beast was dead, Garzahd watched eagerly to see the would be heros deal with the remaining beasts that came to a great amount. Garzahd was hoping this would end with all ‘The Gilded Fist’ adventurers dead. With fiery determination and strength, Daxen cried out loud and motioned for them to resurrect him when getting back. He ran at the mob with the remaining essence of the potion left in his body. His fury was unreal. Slashing about enemies and knocking limbs off, screaming like a lunatic and speaking in tongues. But eventually his body would be ripped in half by demons as everyone knows that tanks can only last so long.
Garzahd was smiling as even though he admired bravery, the man and leader he sought dead was in fact dead. But..this is not the end as Daxen is alive and well right outside his comrades outside bargha. His bravery and selflessness will not be forgotten by Valkor and Rylock, both adventurers of ‘The Gilded Fist’.
But before the comrades would go back to their travels, Daxen Lovidicus looked up as he knew someone was watching him, somewhere from unseen. Garzahd looked at Daxen as if he knew something was being said, while it really wasn’t. “Some day…I’ll come for you old fiend; but until then, Ive just been resurrected and I need to get laid.” A fitting end to a fitting tale. Finished game at lvl 32 for Daxen the high strength sword fighter, 31 for Valkor the barbarian swordsman, and 30 for Rylock the hedge wizard. Avernum-EFTP, awesome game!
