I am already around 30+ hours in Avernum 1 and I completed roughly 40% of the game. And I'm not even doing everything there is in a game.

And it's just the first game out of seven.

Huge value for money, if you asked me :-)

I am working on Avernum 3 right now and am terribly sad that exam week has happened again.

This stuff is great, and there needs to be more love for Spiderweb on GOG.

I've got only one last exam this session, so I'm back to slaying Slith :D
You know, this is an odd thread to have in this subforum as only people who may really be interested enough in the games will ever see it.

I do agree it's a damn good value, even if I resigned myself to just playing the second trilogy - as said in my other thread I just don't particularly like the old engine; sometimes 'old-school' can be a bit too archaic. That said, I'm having a great time with part 4. :) Looking forward to 5 and 6, although I may be playing something in between to not get fatigued by too much of a good thing.

I spent about 100h on Avernum 1. I recently stopped because i lost interest in my game and the difficulty increased significantly in the last tenth on the game. Thus my "not so well party building" is easily crushed by ennemies.

Besides that those long hours were asbolutely great !

It is good stuff. The only problem I would say you might have is when you do get around to playing the 2 new games with the new engine. It will either take some getting used to or you won't play any of the new stuff and rage quit :)
