I'm having a problem with Avernum 1, 2 & 3 (even after a fresh re-installation of the games). After I select whether or not to change the resolution using the pop-up dialogue box (all selections result in the same problem), the games crash. Is anyone else having this issue with any of the Avernum titles? Avernum 4-6 are fine, as are - of course - the remakes of Avernum 1 and 2. Any advice would be appreciated!

On my Windows 10 Intel & Nvidia laptop, I'm using just two compatibility settings for Avernum 3.
-Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP (service pack 3)
-Run this program as administrator

If you have a laptop with integrated & dedicated graphics, you might want to try switching between them. Also, there is a slight chance that "Run compatibility troubleshooter" will do some good.

I've tried both of these suggestions but to no avail. Are there any other suggestions?
Hello,
I know one of the big problems I had was that I originally installed the game in the program files. If you have done that you could be running into major issues. Install them somewhere else, like a folder called games.
Windows 10 x64. Fresh install of Avernum 3 and it runs. No compatibility issues, but installed on an external drive.
