This game is chock full of references, but this first one in particular caught my attention.

In the outskirts of Peregon, there are two NPCs at a meat shop. I thought it was a coincidence that one looked practically identical to Jay from Red Letter Media, then I noticed the one sitting next to him looks identical to Jack.

The tutorial guy quoted Jiub in the Morrowind opening, mentioning that "yesterday's storm didn't wake you."

In the ability tree, there are a handful.
-Survivor, "Your knowledge of the land shall be great." is a reference either specifically to Spoony's Ultima 9 review, or just Ultima 9.
-Master of Unlocking is a Resident Evil reference.
-Witcher, guess what that references.

I saw an NPC say "Work, work" which is a warcraft reference.

I also noticed some of the dogfighting arena watchers shouting "OOO NASTY!" which immediately reminded me of his review of the British tv show, Knightmare.

A stalker named Jess mentioned some friends of his, which included the names Lorkhan and Daedroth, which should be Elder Scrolls references.

I heard mention of Ramses the Cook, who is definitely a Gordon Ramsay reference.

Great Ufficio, in the big tent, said "Sim-salabim!" which should be a Johnny Quest reference.

A bit of a stretch, but the horde of rabid rats at the SE part of the Circus MIGHT be a reference to the unexplained horde of kobolds at the NW part of the Circus in Baldur's Gate 1.

The Heavy Crossbow description is a reference to Jörg Sprave. Slingshot Channel on YouTube. Good work with that one. :D

Oh wow. These are some really cryptic things you're finding there, good sir! The finding out of the OOO Nasty and the Kobold connection literally blew my mind! These things were supposed to never be uncovered!!! :DDD Oh man, my hands were itching so damn much to add something like "Craft it and let it SHOW YOU ITS FEATURES" but I stopped myself since it'd look weird for those not in the know. I enjoy the guy's charisma and ingenuity so much, I'm glad I found at least some way to commemorate him in the game. :D

A guard in Krasnoznamenny mentioned an "agronomist's lustful maid", which should be referencing the 'Lusty Argonian Maid' of the Elder Scrolls series.

Navigator Visotsky made an obvious Fallout reference when I interviewed him. "War? It... it never changes."

Evdokim Durov, the guy with the pet Myrmic in Krasnoznamenny, when asked about rumors, mentioned a man named "Ashot" who carries monsters around in balls. The protag mentioned 'catching them all' in parting. A pokemon reference, of course.

Rita, a woman with a scar in Krasnoznamenny, referenced a 'black goat' and "Ia! Ia!" when talking about the memory of her scar. An HP Lovecraft reference, Shub Niggurath.

I was going to mention that some notes I found in a random encounter near the SE shore made me think of Moby Dick, then I found another note that outright said the notes sound like Moby Dick, lol.

Came across 4 scavengers named the 'Drunken Peasants'. That's a podcast on youtube, hosted by the Amazing Atheist, TJ Kirk. (Haven't watched in ages though)

I neglected to mention the obvious Nutcracker play reference in the underground room in Otradnoye.

Klinov, a tinfoil hat random encounter guy, says "Enemies everywhere" sometimes when you click on him (if you avoid conflict). That's generalized that it could refer to a few things, but I remember it as a bark from Mass Effect 1, one of those things NPCs just shouted like spazzes during combat.

Not sure if this qualifies as a reference, but General Nasty, in Krasnoznamenny, says his real name is Uranus Onanievich Genderoff (which may indeed be some kind of reference... other than Uranus, I mean). "Onani" is Japanese for "Masturbation".

Might be a stretch, but the mutant hunter "Rivlin of Silesia" might be referencing "Geralt of Rivia".

Missed this before, but in the ability tree, True Grit is an obvious reference to the western, (old and/or remake) True Grit.

The guy who writes the Dick Popov novels looks like a bearded H. P. Lovecraft and one of the criminals on the boat in Krasno looks like he was made in the Mount and Blade character creator.

The one I found real interesting was the postman in front of the cinema telling you how the dudes in Peregon use foods as code words for creepy shit they provide some powerful people with. That, and the whole quest related to it, was a pizzagate reference if I ever saw one.

The avatar of the "Strategist" looks an awful lot like Hannibal Smith from the A-Team, who "loves it when a plan comes together".

- There's a story told by someone (can't recall who), mentioning a "Maxim Maximovich" whose family was brutally murdered, then he goes out and gets revenge on them. It's also implied that he's a bit crazy. Sounds like a Russian "Mad Max" to me...

Note: I undoubtedly spelt the name wrong...

- There's another Fallout 2 reference - the bartender in Ortradnoye mentions some primitive tribal-type from the mountains, looking for some kind of Soviet-era gardening kit to save his village (which turns out to have been a cheap Soviet-era toy for children).

- The guy mentioned by the bartender above also had a bone through his nose - obvious Sulik reference (if Sulik were The Chosen One...).

- The various oversized mutated rats, which can speak, is a vague reference to the mutated giant rat-like creatures in Fallout 2. They also seem to share similar kinds of telepathy - the one in the circus knows if you've killed his "mate" in Ortradnoye for example, similar to how the one underneath that Ghoul village in Fallout 2 knows if you killed the one in the tunnels in the second town. Except these ones can write, and apparently rely on continuous consumption of human brains to retain their "smarts".

I've been playing Arcanum and I realized the respawning-loot trash containers in ATOM RPG are very possibly a reference to the respawning-loot trash containers in Arcanum. Lots of crafting materials (shame I'm a pure mage and thus crafting seems useless to me for that character) and shoes.

Dzhulbars is a reference to a famous Soviet Sniffer dog, who detected mines and apparently saved lives during WWII. I had to look that one up - I'm sure Russians already knew this.

The dog apparently survived the war and starred in a movie afterwards.

And then there's Dr.Mikoyan's many references to People are People by Depeche Mode :)

The bartender in the catacombs is greeting you when you first meet him: "Stay awhile and listen", but when you dig into it he has no idea where this is from, and he might just hear it somewhere.

He did also mention something more about this Diablo 2 references, I think you need high speech skill to found out more.

Plus having Fidel around makes his conversations more interesting. Just watch out for that wall... the fourth one... lest you break it...
