The old moonshiner with the eye-patch sure is one tough cookie. I have a 90 in Speechcraft, and I fail both checks. I have a 7 in strength, fails all strength tests. Then the final option when you start smashing things around, I fail all Luck checks. Was this quest meant to end in violence? Its a super early quest, I've leveled up many times since I've received it.. Hmm Im guessing it was meant to end in a bloodbath.

Hello, there are multiple ways to solve the situation peacefully by chatting around and passing checks. Some checks are a bit high for very new players, so if you cannot pass any at all, there is zero penalty if you come back later when your skills are higher, just like everywhere else in the game.

I waited until my speechcraft was 100, (+10 with the hat). And it worked, which also gave me a rare achievment apparently. I'm not sure if you are a developer or not but, this game is fantastic. In fact I would say I've enjoyed it more than Fallout 1 or 2, which is something I did not expect. I've already recommended it to 5 of my friends, and they are enjoying it as well. You guys fucking nailed the atmosphere, bravo.

I can't recall which quest that is but you should aim for 115+ in speechcraft to be able to pass most checks.
