Game need internet access for achievements?

I played 140 hours and did not get a single achievement until I recently allowed internet access to the game - whats up with that and is there a way to enable the achievements for all that I did so far?

Hello! Unfortunately, you will need to be online when getting the achievement to get it registered, but there are some good news in this regard. Achievements that are given for doing a certain number of things, like visiting a lot of locations, trigger without the need to visit all the locations again. Just visit the location once in a New Game for example, and the system will refresh and grant you an achievement.

With most games on GOG, you need Galaxy running to unlock achievements.

Galaxy was running - it’s the game itself that had no internet (LAN Only) access - which I do for all non-multiplayer games.

I had other games collecting achievement without the game having internet access and seeing how many hours I was putting in the game completing everything in one go I would have liked to see the progress in form of achievements (don’t care on bit for them usually).
