Just finished the game. Was a pretty fun ride. I love the characters and the conversations, and the 50 shades of grey morality. I rated it 4/5 while I was half-way through, but then the Dead City opened up, whole new area, quests and baddies to fight. That wowed me so much, would have rated it 5/5 at that point. The mountain pass was a bit empty in comparison (the game probably expects me to visit there first and the more difficult Dead City second - I got it the other way around), but also some nice touches there.

If I may give some humble suggestions on what to improve in a sequel:

1. I liberated the base far too late in game, so by the time I could make use of the benefits and could get Alexander as a companion, I was already done with most of the game including the Dead City. The game should probably point you a bit stronger in that direction.

2. Same thing with the car in the junkjard. I ignored the crazy guy that sends you on that quest for a long time, so I only made use of the car in the last 20% of the game. Some rumors that you can always ask about could provide more hints about potential base & car.

3. There should be more companions. It would be great to be able to pick and choose among different companions. Also, if you want to play in a "hardcore" mode, loosing one companion can be a tragic but memorable event, if you're able to replace him. But with only 3 companions, keeping each and everyone alive is practically mandatory for every reasonable player.

4. The game only detects items that are on the player character, and not on his companions. This is dumb.

5. The companions should be able to do more, rather than just pick locks for me.

6. Please let the player control all of his dudes in combat.

7. More tactical elements to combat: crouching, cover.

8. I collected all this heavy 14.5mm for nothing. Is there even a gun in the game that uses it?

All hail the schroom. Saviour of mankind.

Apparently there's an awesome anti-materiel rifle (or something like that) that uses that ammo - but I have yet to find it, and I've completed the game (thoroughly) four times now.

I think it's supposed to appear in stores - possibly only the Krasno one - and I think it's dependent on luck (which is dependent on your luck stat) - but my last playthrough was a crazy luck playthrough where my luck was 10 for most of the game, yet I still never saw that weapon offered anywhere...
